AKP Phnom Penh, August 3, 2026 --

Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), on Monday decided to donate US$100,000 to China to assist with ongoing flood relief efforts and dispatched a message of sympathy to the Red Cross Society of China.

In her letter addressed to H.E. He Wei, President of the Red Cross Society of China, Samdech Bun Rany expressed deep sorrow over the widespread destruction caused by severe flooding linked to Typhoon Noul, which has battered multiple provinces, damaged massive amounts of property, forced the evacuation of nearly 900,000 people, and resulted in several casualties.

"In this difficult time, on behalf of the Cambodian Red Cross and in my own name, I would like to donate US$100,000 to support the humanitarian operations of the Red Cross Society of China in responding to this disaster," she wrote. "I also wish to extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims, especially those who have lost loved ones."

She added her best wishes for a swift recovery in the affected regions, as well as good health and resilience for the Chinese people.
