Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sèn, Acting Head of State of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has encouraged greater investment by the Republic of Korea in Cambodia, highlighting the importance of investment cooperation to the economic partnership between the two countries.

The call was made during his meeting with H.E. Kim Jin Pyo, former Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, at the Senate's Solidarity Palace in Phnom Penh on the afternoon of Sept. 21.

According to H.E. Chea Thyrith, Spokesperson of the Senate, H.E. Kim Jin Pyo noted during the meeting that Cambodia-Republic of Korea relations are currently developing positively. He also observed that Korean investors have continued to show interest in investing in Cambodia.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his appreciation for the observation and encouraged H.E. Kim Jin-pyo to further promote investment by Korean businesses in Cambodia. He expressed his hope that relations between the two countries would continue to grow stronger and develop further.

The Cambodian Acting Head of State highlighted that the Republic of Korea is an important partner of Cambodia in economic and trade cooperation, particularly in investment, stressing that the two countries have maintained good cooperation in this important area.

The former Korean National Assembly Speaker also expressed hope that more Korean tourists would visit Cambodia, further contributing to people-to-people ties and bilateral relations.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen warmly welcomed H.E. Kim Jin-pyo's visit to Cambodia, considering it a contribution to further strengthening and developing relations between the two countries.
